The development of student networks began in March 2006 with the HSBC iNet student online conference on personalising learning. Since then, iNet has continued to offer a range of activities aimed at students.
iNet China has recently developed a number of opportunities for students to experience Chinese culture:
Collaborate with primary schools across the world to develop pupils' and teachers' digital art skills, and share each other's artwork.
A series of four online conferences give students the opportunity to debate ideas around the theme of Global citizenship.
Students were invited to create presentations explaining how they are given a say in their education.
The global website building competition invites teams of students - possibly working together virtually and internationally - to create educational websites.
A range of events and activities are being developed to help students adapt to challenges brought about by globalisation and ICT.
