The ideas for this publication were first presented by Futures Vision headteachers at the 2005 National Conference in Birmingham. The 140 delegates on the UK Aspirant Headteachers programme discussed the papers with 40 Aspirant Headteachers following the programme in Hong Kong. They were also discussed at a spring conference in Gateshead, UK and at the iNet Conference in Georgia in April 2006.
The resulting publication is meant as a stimulus for further discussion by headteachers attending regional seminars in the UK throughout the school year. It is also presented to schools affiliated to iNet as a valuable resource for staff development.
