Combining their expertise Professors Yong Zhao and Alma Harris will discuss how schools can become international enterprises operating in a new era of globalisation.

By viewing schools as part of a global education system, senior leaders can think internationally but act locally to improve the learning outcomes of their students.

Drawing on rigorous research, the day will focus on developing the following leadership skills:

• What is a global enterprise? How can I become a leader of a global enterprise?
• Coping with competition from local and global education institutions
• Learning from, and working with, other education systems
• Making the most of international resources to improve your school
