iNet Hong Kong was launched in autumn 2005 with a leadership
programme for 42 aspiring principals from across 25 schools. The
schools were drawn from the English Schools Foundation - a family
of 20 schools and kindergartens - and several other international
and local government schools.
The programme's aim is to build leadership capacity across the
system, to aid individual professional development and to network
internationally with other schools. Participants benefited from a
combination of online and face-to-face sessions, with action
research in schools linking the sessions into a coherent package.
We have also customised the programme to benefit leaders of
international schools, mainly through using appropriate
contexts.
