UWIC (University of Wales Institute, Cardiff) is a constituent institution of the Federal University of Wales, with around 9,000 students and 425 academic staff.
The Cardiff School of Education at UWIC has a long history of teacher education and training, working in partnership with 150 secondary and 350 primary schools on the ITET (Initial Training and Education of Teacher) programmes. The school also has a strong track record of working collaboratively with partners in commissioned projects to deliver high quality outcomes within given time schedules.
An excellent relationship has begun to develop with schools in Wales through iNet. Plans are in place to extend these opportunities by linking with schools in other countries across the iNet network to share and develop innovative practice. The school offers an accredited route for the newly established iNet Developing leaders Wales programme.
